The increase of Pitting Resistance Equivalent in ASTM A563 Eye Nuts means a better corrosion resistance in environments containing chlorides. ASTM A563 Wing Nuts is a molybdenum containing, low carbon austenitic stainless steel with increased additions of chromium, nickel, and molybdenum. These ASTM A563 T Nuts are considerably more resistant than any of the other chromium-nickel types to solutions of sulfuric acid.
